today was one of those mile-crunching days...480 miles under wind-advisory conditions...bleh. Trekked across northeastern Texas, avoided Dallas, Houston...crossed over into Arkansas and now in Hot Springs...childhood home of Bill Clinton.....

Early morning....

Just waking up...got in yesterday and wandered up to Austin, it's blazingly hot and I'm wondering if I should've ditched the camping gear in favor of mesh+goretex. OH well! Wandered around town a little after the sun eased off. Great dinner at the Magnolia Cafe on S Congress capped off with a a cooool malt from Annie's.
